Kapalong officially the Municipality of Kapalong, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Davao del Norte, Philippines. The town was founded in July 8, 1948, from the Municipal District of Tagum, It was one of the oldest towns in Davao del Norte Province it is still the largest town by land area in the province of Davao del Norte.Kapalong is politically subdivided into 14 barangays.

Kapalong, Davao del Norte is considered “Caving Capital of Mindanao”. Kapalong is king when it comes to caves. It is home of the Suaon Nature Park, where a series of limestone caves formed intricate and mind-blowing natural formations underneath the earth. With 4 caves open for adventure seekers and 8 is yet to open.

Maniki, formerly Poblacion, is a barangay in the municipality of Kapalong, in the province of Davao del Norte.

Buses, taxis and any other kind of public transportation are all over the world, but Kapalong, Davao del Norte have a very unique public transportation. Aside from buses, jeepneys, motorcycle and cars, there’s the very unique public transportation of Kapalong the “potpot”.
